I am in the process of moving, which is great. Nice studio space with beautiful windows and lighting. I love it. My boyfriend is also an artist so, this will be fun.

Just finished my first oil painting and before I had a chance to say anything it was sold! Crazy eh? But hell, I am just glad people love my work enough to pay me for it. Painting is a process, a mental strain at times and an emotional drain. I am one to always paint things that involve people, strong emotion and tedious detail, so if I have some built up tension or inspiration, that is the best time for me to get crazy on a canvas.

I am ready for some new work to come out. Some high detailed, edgy and work so crazy that I can't even put it into words. I want to blow my older paintings out of the water now....so how's that?

        

Well everyone, I have been working on my very first oil painting of my life! And i will admit i do love it. It takes a while but it is like i am painting with silk...reminds me of porcelain clay on the potters wheel.

The painting is of Aprella, it is mainly a test run to learn oil paints, but it is turning out great. It is a black and white and probably about say 16"x20"?

It is a strange move from acrylics to oils. I am not straight up moving to only working with oils, but decided to expand my palette a bit.
I am going to post a photo of it soon, just working here and there.

        

So. I am going to be doing a painting of Aprella Zappa-Barbella. I'm excited about it. Got some awesome ideas about what I want to do, so I am ironing out the details and soon I should have something new!

I was playing around online, and always thought her modeling was beautiful, so I just asked her if she would mind if I painted her and she was happy about it and said she would be honored! So hell....here I go!

 So...I have been working on this new painting that has a nude with a old record player in the back...it almost looks like the pic was taken in the 50s...so it rocks.
 

SO this new painting I am posting it is called "Just a Peek"....it's showing in Primary Gallery at the moment, hence why I have no photo posted yet.

        

Well, so there are some crazies out there, I at times consider myself one of them, but i don't carry on forever about things that are from the past and not only that, but things that are misunderstood. All I can say is people need to do thier "research."

oh... a great quote...

So. I have been working on this painting for a bit now. It is coming out good, but the more simplistic i go the better it seems with this one. I am so used to working with lots of detail, but for this one, it is not the case.

I am thinking about titling it "Rainy Days", but who knows, that could change in a matter of seconds, expecially when i start to work on it i am always thinking of what is on his mind...the guy in the painting. he looks deep in thought,  but even a little sad. But, for some reason it got everyone to stop and talk to me at the artwalk last night, so it must be good. lol. I met cool people last night and just talked away to all the passer byers and it rocks to talk art to educated p

        

I just started this new painting, working on getting some of the background set up before i paint her. This is going to be fun, blogging about my own artwork and the processes I take....keeping myself motivated and not letting up!
